Sustainable access to clean water remains a challenge in many healthcare centres all across Pakistan. Clean water facility is the most basic service that should be provided in healthcare centres to promote well-being, infection prevention and control. Thousands of people in Karachi alone do not have access to clean water and many children die from diarrhea through the consumption of contaminated water.
PAF, with the help of its generous donors has also installed 22 ultrafiltration hygienic water dispensers for free access to drinkable water and it is also planning to expand these dispensers throughout JPMC for easier access of clean water to all.
